The home improvement sector continues to be busy for Direct Media Group ltd as homeowners prefer rather than to move to improve. We have seen an increase in advertising activity from Builders Merchants and Conservatory companies as these organisations look to capitalise on homeowners who are seeking to improve and add value to their homes.

The builders merchants have primarily been promoting their gardening and landscaping facilities as the country moves into a better time of year weather wise and families look to spend more time in their gardens and patio’s. Garden services Open days are planned and additional advertising has been booked to promote these showcase events.

Direct Media Group’s design department Scottish Studios has designed several adverts for our client Conservatory solutions and booked space in a number of National and local publications currently still publishing into May to capture the homeowners who are experiencing a cold/warm conservatory that may also suffer from sun glare or excessive rain noise.

Direct Media Group has also had a number of new enquiries in recent months from a weight regulation company offering treatments in Europe, a photoart company that offers families portraits onto large canvas or other stocks and also offers complimentary services such as images onto Key rings or other consumables and a training company looking to celebrate 10 years in business.

Our artwork and pre-press business continues to be busy with work processed for various home/development, organisations Cruise/Holiday companies, entertainment clients such as DF concerts and restaurant brewery chains Chef and Brewer.

Our European Healthcare partner Dental Centre Hungary has seen many new patients recently secured by the strategic advertising efforts of Direct Media Group Ltd. Many Scots have now travelled to our treatment centres in Hungary with more due to travel as we move into summer.

The savings that can be made by travelling for the treatments are considerable and this includes the costs of the flights and accommodation. See following testimonial from extremely happy patient John Wishart from Fife.

“I decided to go overseas for treatment having first visited the Dental practise in Hungary for a consultation. I was more than impressed with the professionalism of their Dental staff and facilities. The cost of the facilities is considerably less than in the UK, which was a factor in my decision but it was the overall feeling of confidence in their ability to carry out the treatment to the highest standards in clean surgical conditions which made my decision easy. Flights are from Edinburgh accommodation is good and restaurant prices are inexpensive”

Keep an eye on the Direct Media Group website http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk as it is currently having a new quirky and exciting revamp which will suit business new and established looking for advice on design and media matters to help grow your business.

The plan is to have the new and improved Direct Media Group Ltd http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk website live and there to showcase our services in May.

Long standing existing home improvement clients have started to lift up their advertising activity as we move into the better times of the year weather wise and homeowners take long term decisions to improve rather than move.

The Home improvements sector has seen a steady increase in business placed with Direct Media Group Ltd. Homeowners are seeking to improve their homes rather than to move. Direct Media has placed several campaigns for builders and timber merchants Solar Panel and Conservatory companies.

These campaigns have been placed within a variety of media including TV radio press and online. The clients are reporting a considerable return on their investment with a Solar Power organisation increasing their orders using TV advertising by four times.

This trend will continue due to the stagnant housing market and the inability of new homeowners to move onto the property ladder due to mortgage restrictions.

Our health sector client Dental Centre Hungary continues to be busy with patients sent from Scotland. The advertising campaign placed by Direct Media Group has been successful for Dental Centre Hungary and to the extent that three families have travelled on the 19th March for 7 day treatments to the Dental clinic so due to the quality and affordable dental treatment offered by the clinic interest within the Scottish populace is steadily growing.

Our next Scottish patient consultation day is being arranged of the end of April beginning of May at the Edinburgh Dakota should you be interested please contact Direct Media Group on 01418878788 or on e-mail to dental@directmediagroup.co.uk

Public sector organisation GRA ( Glasgow Regeneration Association) requested that Direct Media Group arrange a leaflet distribution for GRA. This was managed efficiently and cost effectively for GRA and the £25 vouchers were delivered to the desired audience of people on disability allowance and lone parents resulting in many phone calls to attend the advertised consultation meetings with GRA.

This is a sample leaflet distribution for GRA and following its successes this distribution has to be rolled out to a whole of Glasgow audience by Direct Media Group Ltd.

File audit and artwork services provided by Scottish Studios the artwork department of direct Media Group continues to be busy with adverts processed for Richer Sounds Quality Meat Scotland and Orla Keily to name just a few. A recent London sales visit was utilised to contact several new clients and proposals have been made to provide this Scottish Studios service to an even wider London client base. Should you wish to have your advert evaluated please upload your files on the Scottish Studios uploader available on the Direct Media Group website in the artwork and adaptations page. Http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk or directly on http://www.scottishstudios.co.uk

The TV campaign for our Solar Electricity Systems client has seen their lead generation jump significantly since the campaign began at the start of February. Prior to the peak time TV campaign commencing the organisation was securing only seven contracts per week since the start of delivering the campaign this has leapt to thirty two deal contracts per week.

The campaign as publicised in the Drum is continuing throughout the month of February and the thirty/ten and top and tail thirty/ten commercials have been strategically booked to appear within the ad breaks of such popular programmes as Emmerdale Coronation Street Dancing on Ice and even within the ads breaks of the ever popular Champions League.

The production of the ad was organised by Direct Media Group Ltd in partnership with M8 media the airtime space also booked by Direct Media Group Ltd as was the arrangement of the call centre activity that is actively handling with all the enquiries generated by the TV campaign.

To view the a various commercials booked please visit the Direct Media Group homepage: http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk

The yearly campaign for Direct Media Groups long standing Home Improvement Client has now begun and is appearing in local and National titles from February until October.

The QMS campaign was particularly significant covering many forms of media. We prepared the files for the majority of the press titles such as The Observer The Metro and the london Evening Standard.

We are also processing a number of ads for global travel organisation the Minoan Group. We have processed ads for Canada and France Travel which have been appearing across a number of publications in various size formats.

Our long standing education client Langside College has rebooked their Radio ads with our company which are aired specifically to promote the colleges four open days for new students which take place in March May August and October. We have planned a week long radio campaign for the college for each of the chosen months and have also arranged for the recording of the commercials.

Well known entertainment organisation the Castle Leisure Group Ltd approached Direct Media Group Ltd to produce a rolling video to promote all their various sponsorship nights. The video is to air on the Pub group’s network of 13 TV strategically positioned sets. Updates to the various promotions will also be produced by Direct Media Group and delivered to Castle leisure via electronic means so the screens can be updated.

Direct Media has organised the campaign for green energy suppliers Solar Electricity Systems. In the light of recent changes to legislation regarding the returns on investment to be gained from installing home solar panel systems, they wanted people to know that now is the best time to have the system installed, while at the same time wanting to increase their market presence and help to make it clear that their product will continue to be a worthwhile investment and addition to the home.

By booking space on STV, and using this ad produced by M8 Media, we were able to produce a high impact campaign that started generating results for the client within hours of the ad first being shown.

As we approached the Christmas and New Year period Direct Media Group continued to be busy with our website recording the largest number of visitors since our new http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk website became live in 2010.

We had several enquiries from new clients including a Sheffield based engineering company, a renewable energy Solar Power company and a Conservatory Product company.

Website design enquiries have also emerged from online marketing companies and several training companies.

The Conservatory product company enquiry moved forward a pace in December and following a presentation Direct Media Group’s services were secured for both artwork ad production and a media campaign covering Aberdeen and the Edinburgh/Glasgow Central belt.

The full colour ads have now been created by Direct Media Group’s design department http://www.scottishstudios.co.uk and following our client’s approval are publishing in the Aberdeen Press and Journal, The Sunday Post, The Glasgow Southside and Eastwood Extra and the Bearsden and Milngavie Herald initially for all the weeks in January.

A media campaign has also been planned for the Sheffield based engineering firm who are looking to target the Aberdeen Airport area and surrounds. As Aberdeen is already a busy engineering city due to the North Sea oil this is a prime niche market for engineering firms

Hungary Dental Tourism organisation Dental Centre Hungary continued advertising activity in December as following on from the back of the two 2011 Consultation days another has been planned for the 21st January 2012 at the Dakota Hotel in Edinburgh. We already have a steady number of new patients attending and if you are interested in attending for the free consultation on that day please contact Iain Dubrey on http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk or on 01418878788. There are still a few available spaces.

Our file preparation and transfer service also continued to be busy with many new ads being processed for entertainment clients such as DF concerts Roofgarden Public Houses and Chef and Brewer. Retailers such as Orla Keighly and Redcats have also been active with placing ads looking to take advantage of the Christmas market.

Furniture and Home Improvement companies have also seen some activity as they plan for people’s to do list later in January

A number of cruise and holiday companies such as Cruise Deals and Visit Scotland have also placed file preparation and transfer work looking to capitalise on the annual market of holidaymaker’s looking to secure their holiday of choice early in the New Year.

As common for the time of year we also processed a number of adverts for Charities such as Guide Dogs and Children’s Charity sparks.

With new business secured in December January 2012 is already looking to be a busy month and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all Direct Media Group / Scottish Studios and Engravers ltd clients a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable Christmas and prosperous 2012 when it arrives.

The Edinburgh consultation day for our new European Health Sector client was a great success with more than 16 potential patients arriving at the Edinburgh Marriot for the event. Three of the Dental centres specialist dentists were there for the free consultation to answer all the potential patient’s questions. More than a dozen scots have now travelled for the quality and affordable dental treatment in Hungary and we have now taken many more enquiries on the back of the considerable advertising campaign we have planned and the success of the consultation days.

The Dental Centre’s advertising campaign has also increased as results have increased the campaign has now grown beyond the scope of The Sunday Post into the likes of the Edinburgh papers and other more unusual avenues such as the National Police Magazine – this has been booked up for the year.

As this new business for Direct Media Group is very much seen as good for Scottish Business as it is bringing new business to Scotland several of the many local papers have now run news stories on why the Dental centres’ services are in so much demand.

We have also moved forward at the request of the Directors of the Dental Centre to improve the SEO of the UK version of the Dental Centre again this work is very much on going and will spread well into the early months of 2012.

The next consultation day is set for Saturday January 21st 2012 and, if you are interested please contact Iain Dubrey on 0141 887 8788 [iain at directmediagroup dot co dot uk]

For Patients travelling in January the Dental Centre is offering some special rates for apartment accommodation bookings such as two nights complementary again if interested please call the Direct Media Office on 0141 887 8788.

We are continuing with the several website designs for our insurance client ACS and this work will continue into 2012. The websites are being branded The Really Helpful People.

We have also secured our long standing home improvements client advertising schedule for 2012 and we will commence this work in Feb 2012.

We have been experiencing a significant surge in activity for our London publishing file preparation clients and have been working with a whole host of significant blue chip organisations such as Guide dogs The Roof garden Calvin Klein VoiceUK and 118 to name but a few.
We have also continued to process the work for our cruise company contracts and another significant contract for Visit Scotland that has appeared in the majority of the UK’s national publications.

Our entertainments client the Glasgow Ski school asked Direct Media’s design team to design some new eye catching Posters for distribution at several key local areas. To view the approved design please visit Direct Media’s home page on http://www.directmediagroup.co.uk

The relationship with our new European Health sector client grows from strength to strength. Another Consultation day has been organised at the Edinburgh Marriot Hotel for the 26th of November Dr Georgina Borbath and two of her team will be on hand for the day for a free no obligation consultation in the fields of Cosmetic and Dental Surgery. This follows on from the first highly successful consultation in Edinburgh back in July. 6 Scottish patients have now travelled to the clinic in Hungary and are delighted with the treatment and the results provided by our client Dental Centre Hungary. As Network Manager for Scotland, Iain Dubrey of Direct Media Group Ltd travelled to the main clinic in Budapest with two Scottish patients Sandra and Jim Mckerl of Lenzie Glasgow in October. The Mckerls are more than delighted with the results and have already planned another visit to the clinic in March to have more treatment arranged.

Should you be interested in attending the no obligation free consultation on the 26th of November please contact Iain on 0141 887 8788 or e-mail iain@directmediagroup.co.uk

A Direct Media Group motors client now completely rebranded to Ford with the assistance of Direct Media’s artwork services has been particularly busy with advertising and we have been placing ½ and full pages most weeks throughout October on behalf of this client.

Direct Media has continued to be busy with Web work designing several websites for our long standing insurance client ACS and we have also been employed to improve the SEO for Dental Centre Hungary’s UK website.

Following a recent London visit the file audit business for Scottish Studios the artwork division of Direct Media Group has picked up a pace with new work coming in on a daily basis. We have produced work for Chef and Brewer, Channel 4, The RSPCA, Unite the Union and Ticketmania to name just a few.

Our entertainment client The Glasgow Ski School has booked a campaign across specialist outdoor billboard sites. We have designed the creative/Posters to draw new customers from the local area to the sports and recreation facility

We are continuing to pull business for this product from the London area as our quality is more than equivalent to our London Competitors and Scottish Studios can more often than not be more competitive on price which in these austere times is an important area of concern for most organisations/clients. To improve efficiency we have also created a file up loader onto the Scottish Studios page of the Direct Media Group Website. This application makes it far easier for our clients to upload files that we have to work on avoiding the need for several phone calls prior to commencing the work.

There have been a number of enquiries as a result of the success of the advertising for new Scottish Patients looking to take their dental treatment with the Dental Centre in Hungary and Iain Dubrey of Direct Media Group Ltd has been appointed as key Network Manager for Scotland. Iain has been invited for four days training to the Dental centre’s main treatment centre in Budapest in October. Iain will be travelling with another new Scottish patient for the Dental Centre. John Wishart from Fife has recently travelled to the Dental Centre and describes the Dentists as “very professional” and John is extremely satisfied both with the service and the location of the Dental Centre.
